PEORIA, Ill. ? Wednesday's Missouri Valley Conference softball game at Northern Iowa has been cancelled due to rain in the Cedar Falls, Iowa, area and will not be rescheduled. Bradley was originally scheduled to play a doubleheader at Northern Iowa on April 4, but cold weather forced the postponement of those games. The two teams split a doubleheader in Peoria last week and were scheduled to conclude the regular-season series this afternoon with a single game.

The Braves (22-18 overall, 5-12 MVC) have had eight games cancelled due to weather, including four Missouri Valley Conference contests. In addition to the UNI cancellation, next week's doubleheader at Illinois (May 3) has been shortened to a single game beginning at 3 p.m. in Champaign, Ill.

Bradley returns to action Thursday when the Braves play host to Western Illinois in a 6 p.m. doubleheader at the EastSide Centre in East Peoria, Ill.
