Dillon & LeBlanc Named To MVC Women?s Golf All-Centennial Team

ST. LOUIS, Mo. ? Throughout the 2006-07 athletic year, the Missouri Valley Conference will be celebrating a century of excellence as the nation's second-oldest NCAA Division I conference begins its second centennial as a leader in collegiate athletics. As part of the Centennial Celebration, the Valley is naming all-centennial teams for each of the league's sponsored sports. Thursday The Valley released its 20-member MVC women's golf All-Centennial team which included former Bradley standouts Kelly Dillon and Meaghan LeBlanc.

A three-time all-conference honoree (1999, 2000 & 01), Dillon is one of four two-time medalists at the MVC women's golf championship (1999 & 2002). She helped the Braves to team titles in 1999 and 2002 and the team's first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2002.

Dillon was the first Bradley women's golf to have back-to-back season stroke averages under 80, shooting average rounds of 79.5 in 2000-01 and 79.1 in 2001-02 and posted 15 top 10 finishes in her career. She finished her career second on Bradley's career stroke average list and is currently seventh with a career average of 80.6. One of 16 players in Missouri Valley Conference history to earn all-conference honors in three different seasons, she is one three players in school history to earn MVC Scholar-Athlete honors all three seasons of eligibility.

The 2002 B-Club Most Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year she shot a school record 69 at the 1999 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship at WeaverRidge, helping the Braves to the first of their four team titles.

LeBlanc finished a highly decorated career earning back-to-back medalist honors at the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference championship (2005 & 06) and was the first four-time All-Missouri Valley Conference honoree in program history. One of five four-time all-conference performers in league history, she is also one of four two-time Valley medalists in conference history.

She helped Bradley to team titles in 2003 (the second of consecutive Valley crowns) and again as a senior in 2006. She holds Bradley career records for tournament titles (4), top 20 finishes (26), total rounds (103), rounds in the 70's (66) and holds a share of the lowest round in program history with a 69 in a round in March of her senior year.

A three-time MVC Scholar-Athlete, LeBlanc is the only women's golfer in school history to earn First-Team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V honors. A tri-winner of the 2006 Watonga Award (Bradley's highest honor bestowed annually open the Bradley senior student-athlete who best combines athletic ability and academic achievement with community service), she was named co-winner of the B-Club Most Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year Award following the 2005-06 season and also won the honor in 2004-05. She finished her career as the Braves all-time leader with a 78.2 career stroke average and is currently second in school history.
