Women?s Tennis Earns ITA Academic Honors

PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley University women's tennis team was named a 2007 All-Academic Team announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). The Braves were one of 90 NCAA Division I teams recognized by the ITA and one of four MVC teams to earn the honor. In addition seven team members were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.

The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or better. All eight team members were named to the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll following both the Fall 2006 and Spring 2007 semesters last year and the squad combined for a 3.67 cumulative grade point average.

Earning ITA Scholar-Athlete honors were Teri Chan, Elise Montrose, senior Katie Bowen, juniors Kim Braun and Erin Krubeck and sophomores Kelly Donohue and Emily Regenold. In order to be eligible for ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, student athletes need to have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters and own at least a 3.50 grade point average for the current academic year.
