Braves Host Missouri State in 100th Shea Game

Support Your Braves Community Kicks Off Soccer Promotions Schedule

PEORIA, Ill. -- The season opener Aug. 31 will be “Support Your Braves Community Night” at Shea Stadium and tribute bracelets to support the Danny Dahlquist Memorial Fund will be available at all Bradley home events throughout the 2007-08 year, according to a list of promotions scheduled for the 2007 Bradley Soccer season.

 

When the Braves open the 2007 soccer season Friday night, all fans will receive free admission to the first day of the Holiday Inn City Centre Classic at Shea Stadium, which will feature Bradley's 7:30 p.m. game against Lipscomb.  In addition, red silicone bracelets will be available for $2 with all proceeds to benefit the Danny Dahlquist Memorial Fund at Bradley University.  The bracelets, which will be available at all Bradley athletics events throughout the year, will feature two inscriptions:  “ONCE A BRAVE ... ALWAYS A BRAVE” on one side and “IN MEMORY OF DANNY DAHLQUIST #29” on the other side.

 

Tickets for Saturday night's final round of the Holiday Inn City Centre Classic, as well as the remaining nine games on the 2007 Bradley Soccer regular-season schedule, will be $5 for adults and $2 for youth (grades K-12) with free admission for Bradley University students, faculty and staff with valid identification.  Parking for all regular-season soccer games at Shea Stadium is $2 per vehicle.

 

In addition ot the “Support Your Braves Community Night” free admission promotion Friday, regular Bradley Soccer game day promotions throughout the 2007 season will include pregame tailgating, free hot dogs to the first 300 Bradley Red Pride members with a valid coupon, a “20 Years - 20 Gifts” giveaway, the Smoothie King Magic Minute and the halftime Kick for Cash.  During the Kick for Cash promotion, three participants will be selected to attempt to score a goal from midfield with a potential cash prize of $500.  For every game without a winner, the cash prize will increase by $100 for the next game.

?    Youth Soccer Month promotions Sept. 16 (Cincinnati) and Sept. 22 (Saint Louis)

?    McDonald's “Arch” Rival Night Sept. 22 (Saint Louis), featuring a free sandwich coupon for the first 2,000 fans

?    Busey Bank Buford Bear Meet & Greet during the Busey Bank/Bradley Homecoming Classic Sept. 28-29

?    Bradley “Boom Booms” to the first 500 children and students Sept. 28 (IUPUI) and Oct. 29 (Central Arkansas)

?    Senior Night Nov. 10 (Western Kentucky).
