PEORIA, Ill. -- A little more than a year after Illinois-Chicago (4-2-2) snapped Bradley's NCAA record 24-game overtime unbeaten streak, the visiting Flames spoiled Bradley's annual Homecoming game with another overtime victory when Charlie Trout blasted home a rebound 5:27 into the first exta session for a 1-0 decision Saturday night at Shea Stadium.

Bradley's Missouri Valley Conference rival, Missouri State (4-5-1), followed up Friday's 2-1 victory against UIC with a 1-0 win Saturday against IUPUI to capture the championship of the Busey/Bradley Homecoming Classic.  Midfielder Kyle Windmueller netted the game-winner in the 71st minute and tournament MVP Lance Parker made the goal stand by recording nine saves.  Based on its head-to-head victory against Bradley, UIC claimed the runner-up position, followed by the Braves (5-3-1) in third and IUPUI (2-7-1) in fourth.

Although UIC owned a 20-8 advantage in shots and a 13-8 edge in corner kicks, Bradley nearly avoided the overtime session when defender Joe Donoho sent a header off the left post in the 64th minute.  The Braves also drew Flames keeper Jovan Bubonja off his line on the second of consecutive corner kicks in the 89th minute, but he was able to recover in time to stop Grant Campbell's blast from the top of the box for his third and final save of the night.

Bradley will be on the road for its next two games, before returning to Shea Stadium for its Valley home opener Oct. 17 versus Evansville.  The Braves will visit UMKC Wednesday afternoon in its final pre-conference tune-up, then will visit nationally-ranked Creighton Oct. 10 in a game that will be televised nationally by the Fox Soccer Channel.
