Kelly Krumwiede (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West) has been named the Bradley Country Insurance & Financial Services Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday.
Krumwiede scored 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting and added a team-high five rebounds and one steal in the Braves 62-64 loss at Northern Iowa to open Missouri Valley Conference play. A business management and administration major, Krumwiede owns a 3.81 cumulative grade point average.
Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the Country Insurance & Financial Services Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.
Krumwiede and the Braves are back in action Thursday when they face Indiana State at 6:05 p.m. (CST) in Terre Haute, Ind.
