PANORA, Iowa -- Sophomore Caitlin Deeken (California, Mo./California) was one of three Bradley women's golfers to place in the top 10 and helped lead the Braves to the team title at the Missouri Valley Conference Preview Tuesday at the par-72 Lake Panorama National Golf Course.

Bradley entered the final round in third place, but was just one shot out of a two-way tie for first place after Monday's round. The Braves had four of five players shoot in the 70's, paced by sophomore Breanne Neufeld's (Coaldale, Alberta/Coaldale) final round 77, and turned in the low round of the tournament with a 313 to claim the team's first tournament title since winning the IPFW Fall Invitational in October 2006.

Deeken matched her season-best round with a 79 Tuesday to finish in a tie for third place at 158. The top 10 finish was the first of her career as she finished seven shots back of individual medalist Olivia Lansing from Drake. Senior Bari Erais (Lethbridge, Alberta/Lethbridge Collegiate Institute) fired a 78 in the final round to move into a tie with Neufeld for sixth place at 159. Erais pushed her school record for top 10 finishes to 18 and now has 65 career rounds in the 70's, just one short of Meaghan LeBlanc's school record of 66 rounds in the 70's.

Neufeld had the low round of the day for Bradley with a final-round 77 and earned her first career top 10 finish as she tied Erais for sixth place (159). Freshman Kelly Amundrud (Calgary, Alberta/Strathcona Tweedsmuir) was three shots better than her performance Monday, firing a 79 to finish 13th at 161. Fellow freshman Keegan Ryan (Groveland, Ill./Morton) improved by nine shots in the final round, carding an 85 as she tied for 47th at 179.

Freshman Erin Gorman (Rockford, Ill./Boylan) was in the field as an individual and finished 46th at 178 after a second-round 90, while senior Lauren Downing (Rockton, Ill./Hononegah) also competed as an individual and was 55th in the field at 189 after shooting a 94 Tuesday.

Bradley finished with a two-round total of 637 (324-313) and was three shots ahead of second-place finisher Drake (640). Wichita State moved into third place at 648, while Missouri State slipped from a tie for first place after Monday's action into fourth in the final team standings at 649. Northern Iowa rounded out the top at 659.

Creighton placed sixth in the nine-team field at 661 and was followed by Southern Illinois in seventh (669). South Dakota State finished eighth (674) with South Dakota rounding out the field in ninth place at 714.

The Braves return to action Nov. 3-4 when they close out the fall schedule at the Lampkin Cup in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
