BRAVES DROP THIRD STRAIGHT

?    The Bradley soccer team dropped a pair of Missouri Valley Conference matches last week, extending its season-long losing streak to three games and dropping to 6-8-1 overall.

?    Valley leader Drake used a fast start to defeat the Braves Wednesday night, 4-1.

?    Missouri State scored a pair of goals late in the second half to earn its second league win of the season, defeating the Braves 2-0 Saturday night at Shea Stadium.

NON-CONFERENCE FOE ON DECK

?    The Braves will take a brief break from Missouri Valley Conference play with a non-conference match against Butler this Tuesday night at Shea Stadium.

?    The 7 p.m. kickoff against the Bulldogs is the final regular season match at Shea Stadium this season.

?    With two non-conference opponents remaining the on the Bradley schedule, the Braves have gone 5-5-1 in non-conference matches this season, including a 1-3-1 mark at Shea Stadium.

?    The Braves are 1-2-0 all-time against Butler, most recently dropping a 1-0 decision to the Bulldogs on Sept. 3, 2005 at Shea Stadium.

BRAVES CLOSE MVC PLAY SUNDAY

?    Following Bradley's non-conference match against Butler this Tuesday, the Braves will play their fifth and final Missouri Valley Conference match this Sunday, visiting Evansville at 1 p.m.

?    The Purple Aces, picked to finish second in The Valley in a preseason coach's poll, are just 1-2-0 in league play as of Monday, tied with Bradley for fourth place with three points.

?    The trip to Evansville will be Bradley's second of three this season.

?    The Braves went 1-1-0 during the ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic last month, dropping a 1-0 match to Valparaiso before defeating North Florida, 2-0.

?    Evansville's Arad McCutchan Stadium will play host to the 2008 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Nov. 12-16.

CUTSHAW SETS CAREER-HIGH

?    Bradley junior Chris Cutshaw converted a second half penalty kick at Drake last Wednesday night for his ninth goal of the regular season.

?    Nine goals is a new single-season career-high for Cutshaw, who scored eight goals as a sophomore in 2007.

?    Cutshaw shared the team lead for goals last season with then-senior Drew DeGurian with eight.

?    The junior forward needs four more goals this season to record one of the top-three single season goal-scoring efforts in Bradley history.

?    Former Braves Gavin Glinton (1998, 2000) and Bryan Namoff (2000) own the single-season school record for goals scored with 15.
