The Bradley women's track & field team competed in the first day of the ISU Classic Friday, as junior Shelby Lile (Jefferson City, Mo./Jefferson City H.S.) and freshman Nadia LaBostrie (Florissant, Mo./Hazelwood East H.S.) both set career-bests in their respective events.
LaBostrie finished the 200 meter dash in a career-best time of 27.93 seconds for 136th place. Her effort was a full second better than her previous career-best in the 200 meter dash set Jan. 25 at Iowa State.
Lile completed the 5,000 meter run for the Braves, finishing in 31st place with a time of 18:25.79, topping her previous career-best in the 5,000 meters of 18:27.35 set at the Vanderbilt Invitational last April.
Saturday marks the final day of competetion at the ISU Classic, as nine Bradley athletes will compete in six different events starting at 10:20 a.m.
