PEORIA, Ill. --
Junior Bari Erais (Lethbridge, Alberta/Lethbridge Institute) has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Golf of the Week, announced by the league office Wednesday, capturing the honor for a third time this school year after earning medalist honors at the First Market Bank Invitational last week.
Erais took home medalist honors for the second time in her career, finishing first in the individual standings with a two-over par 146 during the 36-hole First Market Bank Invitational in Williamsburg, Va., helping the Bradley women's golf team to a third-place finish in the 20-team field. She matched her career-best with a two-under par 70 in the opening round of play, marking the third time this season she shot 70. Erais followed with a final round 76, matching the best round of the day and finished four shots ahead of the next individual.
She tied Kelly Dillon's school record with her 15th career top 10 finish and joined Dillon and Meaghan LeBlanc as the only two-time medalists in program history. The MVC Golfer of the Week honors marked the 18th time a Bradley player has earned the award overall and fourth time in her career that she earned the honor. One of six players in program history to earn MVC Golfer of the Week honors, Erais joined LaBlanc as the only four-time winners in school history.
Erais and the Braves return to action Sunday and Monday at the Saluki Invitational in Carbondale, Ill.
