PEORIA, Ill. ? The Bradley doubles pairing of sophomore Emily Regenold (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton H.S.) and freshman Nicole Miller (Glendale Heights, Ill./Glenbard West H.S.) ran their spring doubles record to 5-0, but Eastern Illinois won two of three doubles matches and split six singles matches with the Braves to defeat BU, 4-3, Thursday afternoon at the Clubs at River City.

Regenold and Miller edged Sandra Sasidharan and Cara Huck at No. 2 doubles, 9-8, for their fifth consecutive win. The Braves, who had won the doubles point in three of their first four dual matches this season, were unable to get the doubles point after a thrilling third-set tiebreaker at No. 3 doubles that ultimately decided the dual. EIU's Abby Allgire and Carrie Larson outlasted juniors Erin Krubeck (Boulder, Colo./Fairview H.S.) and Kim Braun (Racine, Wis./The Prairie School), 9-8, winning the tiebreaker by a score of 13-11. The Panthers also won at No. 1 doubles, as Natalie Martin and Hayley Homburg topped Bradley sophomores Jessica Buterbaugh (Paradise Valley, Ariz./Chaparral H.S.) and Kelly Donohue (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy), 8-3.

In singles play, the Braves continued to get solid play from Miller, who moved to 5-0 on the spring with a 7-5, 4-6, 10-8 win over Huck at No. 5 singles. Braun won her second in a row at No. 6, defeating Larson in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. Donohue won for the first time this spring at No. 3, cruising past Homburg, 6-1, 6-2.

The Panthers got the singles split to salvage the dual win, however, as Sasisharan defeated Regenold at No. 1, 6-4, 6-0. Martin downed Buterbaugh at No. 2, 6-0, 6-1, while Allgire stopped Krubeck, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4.

BU will travel to Chicago this weekend for a match against DePaul, Saturday, March 8 at 5 p.m., followed by a match Sunday at Chicago State.
