The Bradley women's track & field team wrapped up the indoor schedule, Saturday, at the NCAA Qualifier hosted by Iowa State. Sophomore Marlana Haefelin (Sandwich, Ill./Sandwich H.S.) turned in the highest finish for the Braves, finishing ninth in the mile run in 5:14.00.
Sophomore teammate Rachel Brubaker (Davis, Ill./Durand H.S.) finished on the heels of Haefelin, notching an 11th place finish in 5:16.52. Freshman Mary Goldkamp (Florissant, Mo./McCluer North H.S.) finished 14th with a time of 5:22.00.
The Braves competed in one other event in Ames, as junior Katie Nowak (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake H.S.) led BU in the 800 meter run with a 13th place finish in 2:13.20. Freshman Leann Murphy (Rochester, Ill./Rochester H.S.) finished the race in a time of 2:20.68 to finish in 21st place.
The Braves will now turn their attention to the outdoor schedule, beginning Friday, March 28, at the Southern Illinois Spring Classic in Carbondale.
