PEORIA, Ill. ? Playing at home for the third time in four days, the Bradley women's tennis team fell to visiting Wichita State, Saturday, by a final score of 7-0. The Shockers didn't lose a set in six singles matches and swept the doubles matches on their way to the victory at the Clubs at River City.

The visitors controlled each of the doubles matches to gain an early lead. The WSU pairing of Stephanie Dalmacio and Laryssa Ferreira claimed an 8-3 victory at No. 1 doubles, defeating the Bradley sophomore duo of Jessica Buterbaugh (Paradise Valley, Ariz./Chaparral) and Kelly Donohue (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy). At No. 2, Anna Egorova and Lenore Lazaroiu jumped out to a 7-0 lead against the BU pairing of freshman Nicole Miller (Glendale Heights, Ill./Glenbard West) and sophomore Emily Regenold (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton) before hanging on to win, 8-6. Torrie Browning and Florentina Hanisch stopped juniors Kim Braun (Racine, Wis./The Prairie School) and Erin Krubeck (Boulder, Colo./Fairview) at No. 3, 8-3, for another Wichita State win.

In singles play, the Shockers swept the Braves to secure the shutout victory. Dalmacio defeated Regenold at No. 1, 6-1, 6-0. Hanisch stopped Donohue at No. 2, 6-0, 6-2, while Egorova defeated Buterbaugh at No. 3, 6-0, 6-1. Lazaroiu won at No. 4, 7-6, 6-2, over Miller, as Browning lost only one game at No. 5 in defeating Krubeck, 6-1, 6-0. Ferreira topped Braun at No. 6, 6-0, 6-1.

The Braves will finish the regular season next weekend with a pair of home matches that will also conclude a season-long string of five consecutive home matches. BU will host Evansville, Friday, April 18, followed by a match versus Southern Illinois on April 19. Each match will begin at 1 p.m.
