The Panthers got their first of five singles victories from Sampada Kanada, defeating BU sophomore Emily Regenold (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton H.S.) at No. 1, 6-1, 6-0. At No. 2, Meghana Paritala defeated sophomore Kelly Donohue (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy), 6-1, 6-1. Carolina Hannes topped Kim Braun (Racine, Wis./The Prairie School) at No. 6, 6-0, 6-1.

The Panthers (10-6 overall, 2-1 MVC) gained an early lead by sweeping the doubles matches. Paritala and Moraes defeated Buterbaugh and Donohue at No. 1, 8-4. The Bradley pairing of Miller and Regenold pushed Kanada and Mendez to the limit before the UNI pairing won, 9-7, at No. 2, followed by an 8-5 victory at No. 3 for Garrido and Hannes over Braun and Krubeck.

The Braves (4-9 overall, 0-3 MVC) will play their fourth road match of the week and six consecutive road match overall Sunday at Drake. The dual with the Bulldogs is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. in Des Moines.
