PEORIA, Ill. ? Eighth-year Bradley women's basketball head coach Paula Buscher received her sixth commitment this week as Illinois Central College standout Latasha Hollingshed (Bellwood, Ill./St. Joseph's/Illinois Central) signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Bradley.

A 6-2 center, Hollingshed has three years of eligibility remaining after helping Illinois Central to a third-place finish in the NJCAA tournament. She earned second-team NJCAA All-American honors as a freshman with the Cougars, averaging 14.5 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.

"With several front court players returning next year, Latasha gives us an athletic player in the middle," Buscher said. "She is a good scorer and will allow us to use many different lineups next year because of the depth in the front court. She was a very good high school player that excelled at ICC in her one year there and we are excited to have her for the next three years at Bradley."

The Braves are expected to return eight of 13 letterwinners, including six of the top seven scorers from 2007-08. Hollingshed is the sixth recruit to sign with the Braves, joining 6-3 center Leah Kassing (Mt. Sterling, Ill./Brown County), 6-0 forward MacKenzie Westcott (Williamsburg, Iowa/Williamsburg), and guards Michelle Lund (Sioux City, Iowa/Bishop Heelan) Hanna Muegge (Hopkins, Minn./Hopkins) and Lauren Niemiera (Orland Park, Ill./Marist).
