PEORIA, Ill. - The Bradley women's tennis program added a top recruit from the state of Indiana for the 2010-11 season as Sarah Rodefeld (Carmel, Ind./Carmel H.S.) signed her National Letter of Intent Tuesday. TennisRecruiting.net ranks Rodefeld as the No.11 player in the state of Indiana and No. 82 in the Great Lakes Region. With Bradley graduating three seniors this season, Rodefeld brings quality high school and junior tennis experience to the Braves in 2010-11.
Rodefeld has helped Carmel H.S. win three consecutive conference, regional and sectional team championships for coach Sharon Rosenberg. She received second team all-state doubles honors in 2008 and was a first team all-state doubles performer in 2007 and 2009. Behind Rodefeld's superior play, the 2009 Carmel H.S. squad won the Indiana team state championship.
"We are excited to have Sarah join the Bradley women's tennis program," said head coach Scott Petersen. "She is a great student-athlete with a great personality. She will be an excellent addition to our team."
The Braves will open their spring schedule Saturday, Feb. 6 at Wisconsin-Green Bay.
