? Bradley junior Amanda Switzer (Machesney Park, Ill./Harlem H.S.) led a group of four Bradley runners in the unseeded 3,000 meter run on Friday, placing 46th in the race at the ISU Track & Field Classic hosted by Iowa State in Ames, Iowa.
Switzer's time of 10:50.94 was Bradley's fastest of the 2009 indoor season. Junior Tracy Lotter (Winnebago, Ill./Winnebago H.S.) finished directly behind Switzer in 47th place with a time of 10:53.47, Bradley's second-fastest indoor 3,000 time this season.
Another pair of BU runners finished later in the race, led by junior Marlana Haefelin (Sandwich, Ill./Sandwich H.S.) in 51st place, clocking in at 11:03.25. Junior Rachel Brubaker, who previously held Bradley's best indoor 3,000 time entering the meet, placed 52nd in a time of 11:15.02.
Saturday marks the third and final day of the event, as nine Bradley athletes are scheduled to participate in four different events, beginning with unseeded mile run at 9:30 a.m.
