SOUTH BEND, Ind. ? One day removed from a school record-breaking performance in the 1,000 meter run, Bradley junior Katie Nowak (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake H.S.) competed in the 800 meter run at the Meyo Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. Saturday afternoon.

Nowak finished 34th in the race, recording a time of 2:14.50 to narrowly miss her previous best of 2:13.99 set last month at Northern Iowa. Michigan's Geena Gall won the race with a final time of 2:03.91.

The Braves will return to indoor competition on Feb. 13, opening a two-day event at Iowa State.
