ALVA, Fla. -- Freshman Kelly Amundrud (Calgary, Alberta/Strathcona Tweedsmuir) turned in a season-best 72 to help lead the Bradley women's golf team to a 9.5-4.5 victory against in-state rival Western Illinois at the River Hall Country Club. 

Amundrud shot a course record in a competitive round by a female with an even-par 72 and also carded a season-best round to highlight the Braves win against Westerwinds which used both stroke play and march play scoring.  She was a 4 and 2 winner against Claire Gursh of Western Illinois, who carded an 84.

Sophomore Caitlin Deeken (California, Mo./California) was also in the 70's, shooing a 78 as she defeated the Westerwinds' Emily Brink (85) 5 and 4 in match play.  Senior Bari Erais (Lethbridge, Alberta/Lethbridge Collegiate Institute) shot an 80 and was a one up winner in match play against WIU's Becky Allen, who shot 83.

Freshman Keegan Ryan (Groveland, Ill./Morton) fired a 79 to defeat Tara Peterman 2 and 1 in match play, while sophomore Breanne Neufeld (Coaldale, Alberta/Coaldale) shot 82 to edge Jennifer Holt (85) in stroke play, but Neufeld halved with Holt in match play.

Bradley returns to action Saturday when the Braves close out their Spring Break trip to Florida with a dual against Lynn University.
