? Bradley sophomore Mary Goldkamp (Florissant, Mo./McCluer North H.S.) set a personal season-best time in the mile run on Saturday, leading the Bradley track & field team at the NCAA Qualifier Meet hosted by Iowa State at the Lied Recreation Center in Ames, Iowa.
Goldkamp finished 12th in the race, as her time of 5:07.32 was more than a second faster than her previous best set Jan. 31 at Northern Iowa. Only junior teammate Katie Nowak (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake H.S.) recorded a faster mile time this season for the Braves. Sophomore Leann Murphy (Rochester, Ill./Rochester H.S.) also pariticipated in the event, finishing 15th in a time of 5:25.06.
In the 800 meter run, Goldkamp turned in a 20th place finish with a time of 2:22.20.
The event concludes the indoor portion of the 2008-09 Bradley track & field schedule. The Braves will begin outdoor competition Saturday, March 21 at the Tulsa Invitational.
