PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley men's and women's basketball teams and the Braves Club are preparing for the spring banquet season, which will get underway next week with the annual Men's Basketball Postseason Banquet Wednesday night at the Michel Student Center.  The men's banquet will be followed by the Women's Basketball Postseason Banquet April 26.

Dave Snell, the veteran radio voice of Bradley Basketball, will emcee the two basketball postseason banquets, which will feature the announcement of the annual team awards, the viewing of postseason highlight videos and autograph opportunities with the players and coaches.

The Bradley Men's Basketbal Postseason Banquet will be held April 22 on campus in the Michel Student Center Ballroom.  Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner program will begin at approximately 6 o'clock.  Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children and may be purchased in advance through the Braves Club Office at Shea Stadium (309-677-2667).

The Women's Basketball Postseason Banquet will be held April 26 at the Lariat Steakhouse (2232 W. Glen Avenue in Peoria).  Doors will open at 2 p.m. with the lunch program to begin at approximately 2:30.  Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children and also may be purchased in advance through the Braves Club Office (309-677-2667).

In addition to the two basketball postseason banquets, the Braves Club has added a new event to the spring calendar:  the inaugural Braves Club Open House will be held from 5-7 p.m. April 26 on the Bradley University campus.  The event is being designed to provide both current and prospective Braves Club members a better understanding of the impact the booster organization makes on Bradley Athletics.

The Braves Club Open House will provide the participants the opportunity to interact with Bradley student-athletes and coaches from all 14 teams, tour the athletics facilities, learn about the Athletics Performance Arena and Men's Basketball Practice Facility currently under construction and become more familiar with the Braves Club in general.  The event is free and the Methodist Family Fun Zone will be open for children (with supervision) during program activities.
