COLUMBIA, Mo. ? Thunderstorms in the Columbia, Mo., area Friday evening forced the suspension of the opening round game between Illinois and 12th-ranked Missouri with the Illini holding a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. The Illinois-Missouri game will be resumed at 11 a.m. Saturday morning at University Field with Bradley scheduled to take on the winner of that game at 1:30 p.m. at the NCAA Columbia Regional.
Bradley (26-26 overall) was originally scheduled to face the winning of the Illinois-Missouri game Saturday at noon, but the suspension of the Friday night contest forced an adjustment to Saturday's schedule. The Braves posted a 1-0 victory against 15th-seed and 20th-ranked DePaul Friday afternoon in the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament game.
Saturday's 1:30 p.m. game will be broadcast in the Peoria, Ill., area on 96.5 FM ESPN Radio. Any games following Saturday's 1:30 p.m. contest in the Columbia Regional can be heard on 101.1 FM Hippie Radio.
