Fan voting for the 2009 Major League Soccer All-Star Game concludes today and former Bradley All-American Bryan Namoff remains a candidate for the team that will challenge Everton FC July 29.  After getting a break during D.C. United's Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup game Tuesday versus the Ocean City Barons, Namoff again played the full 90 minutes in Saturday's 1-1 tie versus MLS rival Columbus.

A nine-year MLS veteran, all with D.C. United, Namoff is the only field player in the league that has played every minute for his team this year.  He currently ranks second in MLS with 1,530 minutes played this season, just six behind New York's Juan Pablo Angel, whose Red Bulls have played one more game than United.  Namoff has helped the Red and Black to a first-place tie atop the MLS Eastern Conference standings with 24 points.

One of only four MLS teams to make it through the third round of the 2009 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, United will host the Harrisburg City Islanders in a Tuesday night quarterfinal game at the Maryland SoccerPlex.  D.C. will resume its MLS schedule by hosting Colorado Saturday night.

The Carolina RailHawks, whose roster includes former Bradley stars Gavin Glinton and Luke Kreamalmeyer, kept busy last week despite a break in their USL First Division schedule. The RailHawks posted a pair of shutout wins in friendly competitions at the WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.:  1-0 Tuesday versus the Panama National Team and 3-0 Friday against the USL Second Division Wilmington Hammerheads.  Kreamalmeyer helped set up the lone goal Tuesday night.

The RailHawks will return to action Saturday night by visiting First Division leader Charleston.

In the Premier Development League, Bradley senior striker Chris Cutshaw scored an insurance goal for the Chicago Fire Premier in a 3-0 victory against the Michigan Bucks Wednesday at Toyota Park.  Fellow Bradley senior Grant Campbell also played 11 reserve minutes for the Fire Premier.

Chicago faces a busy week by hosting Cincinnati tonight and London Wednesday before facing a rematch against Michigan on the road Saturday night.
