CHARLESTON, Ill. - Bradley junior forward Bryan Gaul (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley H.S.) extended his point-scoring streak to six games by scoring his 10th goal of the year, helping the Braves (6-7-2, 1-2-1 MVC) pick up a road point in the Missouri Valley Conference standings with a 2-2 draw Wednesday afternoon at Eastern Illinois (4-8-1, 1-3-1 MVC).
Alex Harrison scored each of the goals for Eastern Illinois, sandwiching his strikes around Bradley's two goals. Harrison's first goal of the season, a header of a deflected ball right in front of the goal, gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead at 16:59.
The Braves pulled even in the 40th minute when junior forward Christian Meza (Carpentersville, Ill./Carpentersville H.S.) ripped a low shot from the top of the penalty area by EIU keeper Sean Molony into the lower left corner for his third goal of the year.
Gaul gave the Braves their first lead, 2-1, in the game by heading home a Meza service in the 62nd minute. Harrison forced overtime when his shot in the 84th minute squirted through a crowd. Bradley keeper Brian Billings saved a Harrison header in the 86th minute that would have given the Panthers a win in regulation.
Neither team forced much offense in the first overtime period, as Gaul fired high on Bradley's only shot of the session in the 92nd minute and Jerry Maddi was wide with EIU's only attempt of the period. Both teams managed three shots in the final 10-minute overtime period. While Billings saved two of EIU's three shots, all three Bradley attempts were off the mark.

Sunday will be Community Day at Shea Stadium and all fans making a donation to one of the local charities on the Shea Stadium concourse will receive free admission to the game.
