PEORIA, Ill. -- Seth Trolia (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour) signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Bradley and will join the Bradley men's golf team as a freshman in 2011-12 announced by BU head coach Jeff Roche Friday.
A four-time all-conference selection for the Bulldogs, Trolia owned a 74.5 stroke average this fall as a senior and was a four-time team MVP pick after leading the squad in stroke average each of his four prep seasons. The Corn Belt Conference individual champion each of the last two years, he was Champaign News-Gazette Player of the Year this fall and also earned all-state honors as a senior.
"I am very excited to have Seth joining us on The Hilltop next year," Roche said. "He brings with him a great deal of experience from his success as an individual at the high school level in addition to helping his team play at a high level."
Trolia helped Seymour to the 2010 Class 2A state title, finishing third in the individual standings at the state championship. The Bulldogs were two-time conference champs and claimed IHSA regional championships three of his four seasons. Trolia placed 20th in the state tournament as a junior, while helping his squad to an eighth-place state finish and placed 27th at the state championship during his freshman season.
