PEORIA, Ill. - The Bradley women's tennis team fell to 2-4 on the season after a 7-0 setback to Saint Louis at the Clubs at River City South Sunday afternoon. The Billikens took all nine matches from the Braves and did not allow a point in 6-of-15 sets.
At No. 1 singles, Hailee Elmore defeated junior Nicole Miller (Glendale Heights, Ill./Glenbard West H.S.) 6-3, 6-0, while Casey Miller handled senior Emily Regenold (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton H.S.) 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 2 spot. Seniors Kelly Donohue (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy) dropped her No. 3 match to Sarah Septien 6-2, 6-0 and Mia Elmore clipped senior Jessica Buterbaugh (Paradise Valley, Ariz./Chaparral H.S.) at the No. 4 spot.
Saint Louis completed the singles sweep with wins at No. 5 and 6 as Caitlin McKenna beat freshman Kennedy Scott (Calgary, Alberta/National Sports School) 6-1, 6-1 and Kasia Tomalak shutout freshman Brigitte Graf (Double Oak, Texas/Faustina Academy) 6-0, 6-0, respectively.
The Billikens made it a perfect 9-for-9 with wins at No. 1, 2 and 3 doubles. H. Elmore/Tomalak defeated Miller/Regenold 8-4, Miller/M. Elmore swept Donohue/Buterbaugh 8-0 and McKenna/Septien blanked Scott/Graf 8-0.
Bradley will continue its eight-match home stand Friday, Feb. 26 with a 1 p.m. dual against Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
