PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley women's basketball team will make its postseason debut against a team which squared off against Connecticut in last year's national championship game, when the Braves play Louisville in the first round of the inaugural Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI) Wednesday at 6 p.m. (CDT) at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Ky.

A free audio stream of Wednesday's game will be available on www.bradleybraves.com.  There will be no video stream for Wednesday's game between the Braves and Cardinals.

Bradley brings a 16-13 overall record into the contest and the Braves matched the best conference finish in program history, tying for third in the Missouri Valley Conference standings with a 12-6 league mark.  The Braves have posted back-to-back winning records for the first time since 1985-86 and 1986-87.

Louisville is 14-17 overall and tied for 12th in the Big East Conference at 5-11.  The Cardinals, which advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 each of the last years, were picked third in the preseason Big East poll after last year's 34-5 record.  Louisville overcame several season-ending injuries to starters to receive the 17th postseason bid in program history.

The winner of Wednesday's game will advance to the WBI quarterfinals and will face the winner of Wednesday's contest between College of Charleston and Morehead State March 20 or 21.
