FLORENCE, Ariz. - Junior Breanne Neufeld (Coaldale, Alberta/Coaldale) and sophomore Kelly Amundrud (Calgary, Alberta/Strathcona Tweedsmuir) each shot a final-round 78 Wednesday as Bradley edged Missouri Valley Conference foe Wichita State 945-946 for 14th place at the Northern Migration Invitational at the par-72 Poston Butte Golf Club.
Neufeld tied for 21st with a final score of 228 (75-75-78) to lead the Braves, three strokes better than freshman Natalie Wisniewski (Williamsville, N.Y./South), who fired a final-round 79 to finish tied for 29th with a score of 231 (78-74-79).
Amundrud climbed eight spots in the standings Wednesday and tied for 47th with a three-round total of 235 (80-77-78), while sophomore Keegan Ryan (Morton, Ill./Groveland) moved up three spots with a final-round 83 and finished tied for 96th at 251 (81-87-83).
Junior Caitlin Deeken (California, Mo./California) shot an 87 in the third round and finished in 105th place (262, 88-87-87). Sophomore Erin Gorman (Rockford, Ill./Boylan) competed in the field as an individual and finished in 106th place with a three-round total of 273 (93-89-91).
Texas-San Antonio clipped Idaho by one point, 895-896, to capture the team title, while Idaho's Kayla Mortellaro earned the individual crown with a three-round score of 211 (68-70-73).
The Braves will return to action Sunday, March 28 at the Saluki Invitational in Carbondale, Ill.
