PEORIA, Ill. -- Sophomore guard Hanna Muegge (Hopkins, Minn./Hopkins) will miss the remainder of the season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee during the second half of Bradley's game at I-74 rival Illinois State last Thursday.  Muegge also suffered a partial tear of the medial collateral ligament and a lateral bone bruise.

After playing a total of 14 minutes in the first eight games of the season, Muegge emerged as a starter and had helped Bradley to an 11-5 record in her 16 games as part of the first five.

Muegge was fourth on the team in scoring in Missouri Valley Conference games, when she averaged 6.9 points per outing, and she was shooting a league-best 50 percent (16-for-32) from beyond the arc against the league.

"I am very disappointed that Hanna's season had to come to an end this way," head coach Paula Buscher said.  "She is such a tough competitor, I am sure she will rebound from this setback and be ready for next season with a different appreciation for the game."

Bradley returns to action Thursday when the Braves open the final home stand of the season with a 7:05 p.m. game against Wichita State at Illinois Central College's Lorene Ramsey Gymnasium.
