PEORIA, Ill. -- A season-opening road trip to the eastern seaboard, hosting a premier tournament, facing two new Missouri Valley Conference affiliate members and playing host to the State Farm MVC Tournament all highlight the 2010 Bradley Soccer schedule announced today by 15th year head coach Jim DeRose.

Including a preseason exhibition Aug. 21 versus Michigan State in Grand Rapids, Mich., Bradley will play in 10 states during the 2010 season, matching the most states visited in a season by the 2007 Braves, who reached double-digits by visiting Indiana, Maryland and Ohio State during their run to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals.

Bradley's first five regular-season games also will be played away from home as the Braves will visit St. Peter's Sept. 1, Fairfield Sept. 3 and Delaware Sept. 5 before taking on East Tennessee State Sept. 10 and Alabama A&M Sept. 12 at Evansville's ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic.

The Braves will open their 8-game home schedule at Shea Stadium by hosting traditional soccer juggernauts Creighton, Dartmouth and SMU in the Hotels at Grand Prairie Classic Sept. 17 and 19.  Following a Creighton-SMU matchup at 5 p.m. in the tournament opener, Bradley will challenge Dartmouth at 7:30 Sept. 17.  Creighton again will open play Sept. 19 at noon against Dartmouth with the tournament finale between Bradley and SMU slated for 2:30.

Bradley's remaining home opponents include Northern Illinois (Sept. 24), IPFW (Oct. 1), Drake (Oct. 13), Central Arkansas (Oct. 16), Evansville (Oct. 24) and Western Illinois (Nov. 2).  The Oct. 13 game versus Valley rival Drake will kickoff the University's Homecoming activities and the Oct. 16 game versus new MVC men's soccer affiliate member Central Arkansas will be a featured attraction during the Homecoming schedule.

The remainder of Bradley's road opponents include Wisconsin-Green Bay (Sept. 26), Houston Baptist (Oct. 3), SIU-Edwardsville (Oct. 9), Eastern Illinois (Oct. 20), Missouri State (Oct. 30) and Creighton (Nov. 6).

For the fourth time in program history, Bradley will host the entire State Farm MVC Tournament Nov. 10, 12, 14 as the league's top six regular-season finishers will visit Shea Stadium to compete for The Valley's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.  Bradley also hosted the MVC Tournament in 1999, 2005 and 2006, reaching the championship game all three years.

Bradley Soccer season tickets currently are on sale at the Bradley Ticket Office at Shea Stadium and are available for $40 for adults and $20 for children (K-12), while season parking passes are available for $20.
