WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Although they had only a couple of hours to prepare, fans of Major League Soccer's D.C. United paid tribute to former Bradley All-American Bryan Namoff during the 26th minute of Wednesday night's game versus the Seattle Sounders at RFK Stadium.
Namoff, who wears No. 26 for the Black and Red, announced Wednesday afternoon he is suspending his playing career as the result of post-concussion symptoms that have sidelined him since late last season. He has assumed a position on the United technical staff and indicated on his Twitter account that he is hopeful of a return to the pitch in the future.
