CRETE, Ill. -- Former Bradley women's golf standout Rikki Sobel earned a spot in the field at the 110th USGA U.S. Women's Amateur Championship in mid August after shooting a 73 at a U.S. Women's Amateur qualifier Tuesday.
Sobel tied for third with her one-over par 73 to tie for third in the 44-person field in the U.S. Women's Amateur qualifier at Balmoral Woods Country Club in Crete, Ill., Tuesday. She is one of 156 players who will participate in the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship, which will be held August 9-15 at the Charlotte Country Club in Charlotte, N.C.
