KENTWOOD, Mich. -- Playing its only exhibition game of the preseason, the Bradley soccer team battled #19 Michigan State to a 1-1 draw Saturday night in front of a crowd estimated at 1,700 at Pat Patterson Soccer Complex.

Bradley freshman Keegan Balle (pronounced BALL - ee) knotted the game in the 72nd minute when he buried a free kick from 25 yards.  After a scoreless first half, Michigan State took a 1-0 lead in the 52nd minute on a goal by Cyrus Sadee.

The Braves will open the regular season Sept. 1 by starting a 3-game, East Coast road swing at St. Peter's.  The trip will continue with games Sept. 3 at Fairfield and Sept. 5 at Delaware and the Braves will play in Evansville's ProReha Aces Soccer Classic Sept. 10-12 before opening the home schedule by hosting Dartmouth, SMU and Creighton in the Hotels at Grand Prairie Classic at Shea Stadium.
