WATERLOO, Iowa -- Senior Nicole Miller (Glendale Heights, Ill./Glenbard West) dropped a third-set tie-breaker in the Platinum Flight Singles Consolation bracket semifinals to highlight the final day of play for the Bradley women's tennis team at the Northern Iowa Fall Invitational Sunday.
Miller was one of just two Braves in action on the final day at the UNI Invite Sunday and rebounded from a 7-5 opening-set loss to South Dakota's Veronika Makashov to take the second set 6-4. Makashov took the third-set tie-breaker 10-8, however, as Miller fell in the semifinals of the Platinum Flight Consolation Bracket.
Freshman Sarah Rodefeld (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) played in the Gold Singles Consolation semifinals Sunday and dropped a 6-1, 6-0 decision to Missouri's Jamie Mera.
The Bradley women's tennis team returns to action Oct. 8-10 at the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Individual Championships in Normal, Ill.
