PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior women's golfer Breanne Neufeld (Coaldale, Alberta/Kate Andrews) has been named the Bradley Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after helping the Braves to a sixth-place finish at the Badger Invitational.

Neufeld tied for the lowest third-round score in the field, matching a career-best with a two-under par 70.  Her third-round 70 helped the Braves card a season-best 301 and move up two spots in the final standings into sixth place.  The 70 was her best round since firing a 70 her freshman year at the Brickyard Invitational on Sept. 10, 2007 and is tied for the fourth lowest round in program history.  Neufeld tied for 12th in the field at 223 (78-75-70).  An english major, Neufeld owns a 3.37 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Neufeld and the Braves return to action Oct. 4 & 5 at the Butler Fall Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind.
