Women's Golf 14th After 36 Holes At Johnie Imes Invite

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Freshman Christie Lin (Calgary, Alberta/Sir John G Diefenbaker) matched a season-best 75 in the second round at the fifth annual Johnie Imes Invitational and is Bradley's leader after 36 holes of play at the par-72 Club at Old Hawthorne.

Lin helped the Braves finish the day in 14th place and is tied for 23rd in the individual standings at 151 after rounds of 76 and 75.  Senior Kelly Amundrud (Calgary, Alberta/Strathcona Tweedsmuir) opened tournament play with a 75 to match a season best score and tie former teammate Bari Erais' school career record with her 73rd career round in the 70's.

Amundrud finished the day in a tie for 50th overall at 155, after shooting an 80 in the afternoon.  Freshman Thea Hedemann (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan/Walter Murray) is tied with Amundrud for 50th at 155, following up a first-round 80 with a season-best score of 75.

Sophomore Cassandra Marschall (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield/Wisconsin-Green Bay) turned in scores of 81 and 85 to close out Monday's action in 81st (166), while freshman Katarina Mangieri (Galesburg, Ill./Galesburg) rounded out the scoring for BU with rounds of 86 and 95 to close the day in 86th (181).

Texas State holds the top spot in the team standings with a 36-hole total of 585 and is 11 shots better than second-place Florida International (596).  Tournament-host Missouri is third overall at 598 and is followed by Kansas State (4th - 599) and Arkansas-Little Rock (5th - 600).  Wichita State and Colorado State finished the day tied for sixth at 604 and the duo hold a two-shot advantage on eighth-place Illinois State (606).

SMU begins Tuesday's final round in ninth (607) and Missouri State rounded out the top 10 in the field at 609.  Morehead State is 11th (614) with Kansas one shot behind in 12th (615).  UMKC is nine shots ahead of Bradley in 13th (618) and the Braves are 14th (627) after rounds of 312 and 315.  Princeton completes the field in 15th at 635, eight shots behind BU,
