PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior Kelly Amundrud (Calgary, Alberta/Strathcona Tweedsmuir) matched a season-best with a final round 75 and broke the Bradley career record for rounds in the 70's, while helping the Braves to a 14th-place showing at the fifth annual Johnie Imes Invitational Tuesday.

Amundrud, who entered the Johnie Imes Invitational with a 76.0 career stroke average at the par-72 Club at Old Hawthorne, turned in the best round of the day for BU with a third-round 75.  She broke former teammate Bari Erais' school career mark with her 74th career sub-80 round to finish tied for 40th at 230 in the tournament.

The record-setting round wasn't enough to give Amundrud top individual honors on the squad, however, as freshman Christie Lin (Calgary, Alberta/Sir John G Diefenbaker) edged Amundrud by one to tie for 36th at 229.  Lin carded her fifth consecutive round in the 70's with a final round 78 to pace the Braves in the 15-team event.

Fellow freshman Thea Hedemann (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan/Walter Murray) also shot 78 during Tuesday's final round and finished with a 54-hole total of 233 to tie for 50th overall.  Sophomore Cassandra Marschall (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield/Wisconsin-Green Bay) was 84th in the field at 255 after a third-round 89, while freshman Katarina Mangieri (Galesburg, Ill./Galesburg) shot 86 on the last day and was 86th (267).

The field featured eight teams ranked in the top 100 according to Golfweek.com, including one top-50 squad.  Texas State captured the team title with a 15-over par 879 and finished seven shots ahead of second-place finisher Kansas State (886).  Florida International was seven shots back of the Wildcats in third place (893) and Colorado State took fourth at 900.

Arkansas-Little Rock was fifth in the standings at 901 to finish ahead of tournament-host and sixth-place finisher Missouri (906).  SMU captured seventh (909) and was followed by Missouri Valley Conference rivals Illinois State (8th - 911) and Missouri State (9th - 914).  Morehead State rounded out the top 10 at 918, with Kansas chasing in 11th (922).  Wichita State took 12th (924), while UMKC was two shots back in 13th (926).  Bradley shot 317 on the final day to finish 14th (944) and Princeton was 15th overall at 962 to complete the field.

The Braves return to the state of Missouri, Oct. 17 & 18 for the Payne Stewart Memorial in Springfield, Mo.
