LEMONT, Ill. -- Freshman Seth Trolia (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour) is tied for 14th and the Bradley men's golf team is tied for sixth after 36 holes at the John Dallio Memorial Saturday at the par-72 Ruffled Feathers Golf Course.
Trolia followed up a first-round 78 with a one-under par 71 to close the day tied for 14th at 149 after two rounds of play. Sophomores Daniel Young (Metamora, Ill./Metamora) and Kyle Gunther (Dunlap, Ill./Peoria Christian) are both fourth shots behind Trolia in a tie for 32nd at 153. Young carded a season-best 76 in the morning and afternoon round of 77, while Gunther had scores of 78 and 75 in his first rounds of the season.
Freshman Danny Masrin (Palatine, Ill./Jakarta International School) shot the lowest first round score of the day for the Braves with a season-best, three-over par 74 and is tied for 45th at 155. Sophomore Travis Kreiter (Brimfield, Ill./Brimfield) rounded out the scoring for BU with rounds of 86 and 82, finishing the day at 168 (tied for 71st).
Missouri leads the field with a 36-hole total of 581 and owns a four-shot edge on second-place Florida Gulf Coast (585). Tournament-host DePaul is third overall at 595 and Northern Iowa is fourth in the standings a 596. Drake begins Sunday's final round in fifth at 606, while Bradley and IUPUI are four shots back in a tie for sixth (610).
The Braves and Jaguars hold a one-shot advantage on Western Illinois and Loyola-Chicago, who are tied for eighth (611) and the pair of Eastern Illinois and Detroit are tied for 10th (612). Wisconsin-Green Bay (12th - 618), Marquette (13th - 621), SIU-Edwardsville (14th - 625) and Chicago State (15th - 672) round out the field, respectively.
