DEKALB, Ill. -- Junior guard Katie Yohn (Elgin, Ill./St. Edward) hit the go-ahead shot with 1:28 to play and finished with a game-high 16 points to help Bradley rally late for a 50-45 victory against Northern Illinois Wednesday at the Convocation Center.

Bradley (4-2 overall) led for most of the contest and held a 37-26 advantage after a Kelsey Budd (Prairie du Sac, Wis./Sauk Prairie) layup with nine and a half minutes remaining, when Northern Illinois (2-2 overall) stormed back.

NIU's Amanda Corrall capped a 19-6 Huskie run with back-to-back three-pointers and dished out two assists during the spurt to help put Northern Illinois in front 45-43 with just under two minutes to play.

Yohn answered Corrall's third three-pointer of the second half with one of her own from the wing with 1:28 to play to put Bradley back in front 46-45.  NIU came up empty after scoring on five consecutive possessions and Yohn found sophomore Catie O'Leary (Janesville, Wis./Parker/Wisconsin) at the free throw line for an easy hoop to give the Braves a 48-45 edge with 38 seconds on the clock.

Northern Illinois missed a pair of potential game-tying three-pointers on the other end and Yohn was fouled with 1.1 seconds remaining after pulling down a defensive board following the second NIU miss.  She connected on both free throws to close out the 50-45 victory.

Bradley closed out the season-long, four-game road swing with a 3-1 record and picked up back-to-back wins for the first time this season to improve to 4-2.  The Braves matched a season low with 13 turnovers and won at Northern Illinois for the first time since 1995, snapping a three-game road losing streak in the series.

Yohn made 3-of-8 three-pointers and finished with 16 points, four rebounds and three assists.  Senior Leah Kassing (Mt. Sterling, Ill./Brown County) notched nine points, nine boards and two blocks in 26 minutes.

The Braves limited NIU to 30.8 percent shooting and handed the Huskies their first home loss of the year (2-1 at home).  Alicia Johnson came off the bench to lead Northern Illinois in scoring with 11 points.  Corrall joined Johnson in double figures with 10 points and tied for team-high honors with seven rebounds.

Bradley hosts Wisconsin-Milwaukee Monday at 7 p.m. at Renaissance Coliseum, before opening a three-game road swing with a Dec. 1 contest at Butler.
