PEORIA, Ill. - The Bradley women's tennis team (1-2 overall) ends their season-long, five-match road swing this weekend, playing matches at Northern Illinois (Saturday) and at Wisconsin-Milwaukee (Sunday).
The Braves went 1-2 last weekend to open up their spring season, picking up a 5-2 victory against Southeast Missouri State. Freshmen Adele Henke (Edina, Minn/Edina) and Meredith McDonagh (Bryan, Ohio/Bryan) helped highlight the opening week of play, with both individuals going 2-1 in singles play.
Bradley visits DeKalb, Ill., Saturday to compete against Northern Illinois (0-3 overall) at 1 p.m., and then travel to Milwaukee, Wis. to face the Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers (1-0 overall) Sunday at 10 a.m.
Senior Nicole Miller (Glendale Heights, Ill./Glenbard West) led the Braves in last year's matchups with the Huskies and Panthers, picking up a singles win against NIU at #1 singles (6-2, 6-3). She also was part of a win at #1 doubles against UWM.
After concluding the five-match road swing, Bradley returns home to face Valparaiso (Feb. 18) and IUPUI (Feb. 19) at the Clubs at River City.
