PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior women's golfer Breanne Neufeld (Coaldale, Alberta/Kate Andrews) has been named the Bradley Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after earning Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week honors last week.
Neufeld, who earned Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week honors for the third time this school year and seventh time in her career, finished fourth at last week's Lady Moc Classic in Lakeland, Fla. She shot a one-over par 73 in the final round en route to her lowest 54-hole total (220) since September 2009. An english major, Neufeld owns a 3.37 cumulative grade point average.
Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.
Neufeld and the Braves return to action Friday when they open play at the Rio Verde Invitational in Rio Verde, Ariz.
