Breanne Neufeld Named Country Financial Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior women's golfer Breanne Neufeld (Coaldale, Alberta/Kate Andrews) has been named the Bradley Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after tying for 14th at last week's NAU Lumberjack Shootout.

Neufeld opened tournament play with back-to-back rounds of 72 and closed out the 54-hole event with a final round 79 to tie for 14th at 223.  She tied Bari Erais for the most career rounds played in school history (108) and moved into a tie with Meaghan LeBlanc for second in school history with her 66th career round in the 70's.  In addition, Neufeld became the second player in program history to have two seasons with 20 or more rounds in the 70's.  An english major, Neufeld owns a 3.37 cumulative grade point average. 

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Neufeld and the Braves return to action Sunday and Monday at the Saluki Invitational in Carbondale, Ill.
