PALO ALTO, Calif. - Senior Mary Goldkamp (Florissant, Mo./McCluer North) finished 47th in the 800 meters at the Stanford Invitational Saturday and was the only Brave to compete after rain caused the cancellation of Saturday's SIU Spring Classic for the rest of the Bradley track and field team.
Goldkamp finished ninth in her 800 meter heat and was 47th overall in a field of over 80 competitors. She crossed the line in a time of 2:14.52 to finish four seconds out of the top 20.
Inclement weather in Carbondale, Ill., caused the cancellation of Saturday's SIU Spring Classic for the rest of the Bradley track and field team.
The Braves are back in action Friday and Saturday at the EIU Big Blue Classic in Charleston, Ill.
