PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior women's golfer Breanne Neufeld (Coaldale, Alberta/Kate Andrews) has been named the Bradley Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after winning medalist honors at the Saluki Invitational.

Neufeld took home medalist honors for the second time in her career, edging Austin Peay's Chelsea Harris by one shot.  After opening tournament play with a par-72 Sunday she followed it up with a second-round 78 to claim top individual honors in the 36-hole event.  Neufeld is the fifth player in program history to win at least two tournaments during their collegiate career and broke the Bradley career record for rounds play (110).  An english major, Neufeld owns a 3.37 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Neufeld and the Braves return to action Monday and Tuesday at the Indiana Invitational in Bloomington, Ind.
