PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior Mary Goldkamp (Florissant, Mo./McCluer North) will have one more chance to qualify for next week's NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship, running the mile this weekend at Notre Dame's Alex Wilson Invitational in South Bend, Ind.
Goldkamp took home the fifth all-conference honor of her career at last week's State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship, finishing third in the mile. The school record holder in the mile, she ran a time of 4:57.14 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, last week and her school record of 4:47.38 set back on Feb. 10 is the second fastest time in the Missouri Valley Conference this season.
The women's mile is scheduled to start at approximately 2:25 p.m. (CST) Saturday at the Loftus Sports Center. The NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held March 11 & 12 in College Station, Texas.
