PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley men's golf team will take to the course one last time before the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Championship later this month, playing in the Battle at the Warren in Notre Dame, Ind., Tuesday.
The one-round tournament includes Jackson State, Detroit, tournament-host Notre Dame and Oakland at the par-71 Warren Golf Course and is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. (CDT).
Freshman Daniel Young (Metamora, Ill./Metamora) was Bradley's top finisher last time out at the Branson Creek Invitational, tying for 34th at 237. Senior Coby Thompson (East Galesburg, Ill./Knoxville) shot a 77 in the final round of the Branson Creek Invitational and needs one round in the 70's to tie Jerry Young (1973-77) for fourth at BU in career sub-80 rounds.
Bradley tied for 10th last week at Branson Creek, with freshman Andrew Weisenborn (Columbia, Ill./Columbia) matching a season-low with a final-round 76 to help highlight play for the Braves.
The State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Championship will be held April 25 & 26 at the Club at Porta Cima in Sunrise Beach, Mo.
