WICHITA, Kan. -- The Bradley women's tennis team was shorthanded for the third consecutive match and dropped a 7-0 decision to Missouri Valley Conference foe Wichita State Saturday afternoon at the Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex in the opener of a three-match road swing.

Freshman Sarah Rodefeld (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) had won back-to-back matches at #2 singles and all four of her conference singles matches had gone to a third and deciding set heading into the match, but fell 6-0, 6-2 to Carla Venticinque.

Senior Nicole Miller (Glendale Heights, Ill./Glenbard West) also helped highlight play for the Braves, but fell 6-3, 6-1 at # 1 singles.

Wichita State (11-8 overall, 4-0 MVC) posted wins in straight sets in all five singles matches and picked up 8-1 victories at both #1 and #2 doubles to complete the sweep.

Bradley (3-17 overall, 0-5 MVC) continues its season-ending road swing next weekend with matches at Evansville Friday (5 p.m.) and at Southern Illinois Saturday (1 p.m.).
