EUGENE, Ore. -- Senior Mary Goldkamp (Florissant, Mo./McCluer North) broke her own school record in the 1,500 meters to highlight action for the Bradley track and field team at the Oregon Relays Friday.
Goldkamp finished second in her heat in the 1,500 meters, breaking her own school record by a half-second with a time of 4:26.26 Friday. Goldkamp set the previous mark at last year's State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship, winning the event with a time of 4:26.76.
Fellow senior Lauren Fog (Harvard, Ill./Harvard) turned in a career-best time in the 5,000 meters, clocking an 18:01.35 to finish 12th in the event. Freshman Cassie Lohmeier (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria) also helped highlight Friday's action for the Braves, placing 17th in her 1,500 meter heat with a time of 5:01.67.
The Bradley track and field team will be in action Saturday at the SIU Edwardsville Twighlight in Edwardsville, Ill., Saturday afternoon.
