PEORIA, Ill. - Bradley sophomore Sarah Rodefeld (Carmel, Ind./Camel H.S.) was a winner in three of her four matches Saturday, pacing the Bradley Women's Tennis team during the second day of action in the Hotels at Grand Prairie Invitational at the David Markin Tennis Courts.

Playing two cycles of individual round-robin tennis, the Braves collected eight victories Saturday, including the first career collegiate wins by freshmen Jessie Bertino (Lockport, Ill./Joliet Catholic H.S.), Elizabeth Przystawski (Prospect, Ky./Assumption H.S.) and Cassia Wojtalik (Indianapolis, Ind./Cathedral H.S.).

Rodefeld and freshman Carly Miles (Greentown, Ind./Eastern H.S.) gave the Braves their first win of the day with an 8-4 victory against the Robert Morris (Chicago) duo of Alejandra Gamboa and Anastasia Khabirova in the second round of #1 Doubles.  Przystawski and Woktalik followed with an 8-4 win against the Robert Morris pairing of Ana Kostic and Stephanie Messina at #2 Doubles.

Rodefeld rode the momentum of her doubles victory to a pair of wins in the #1 Singles flight:  first with a 6-4, 6-4 victory against Gamboa, followed by a 6-1, 3-6, 10-3 triumph against South Dakota's Michelle Elkin.

Wojtalik earned a 6-3, 6-1 win against Kostic in #2 Singles and Przystawski snared a 7-6 (3), 6-4 win against Chicago State junior Ruta Grinvalde in the #3 Singles flight.  Bertino tasted victory in her first Interstate 74 Rivalry experience, downing Illinois State's Ashton Nisbet (6-1, 6-1) in the #5 Singles flight.

In addition to Rodefeld's 3-set win against Elkin to start Saturday's second round of singles play, Bradley sophomore Meredith McDonagh (Bryan, Ohio/Bryan H.S.) collected a 6-2, 6-4 victory against Messina in the #4 Singles flight for her first win of the season.

Sunday's final round in the Hotels at Grand Prairie Invitational will begin at 10 a.m. at Bradley's David Markin Tennis Courts.
