PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley men's golf team will return to action after three weeks off from competition Monday and Tuesday at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate in Overland Park, Kan. The Braves are playing in the Bill Ross Intercollegiate, which will be held at the par-72 Milburn Golf & Country Club, for the second time in the last three years.
The 13-team field features three Missouri Valley Conference foes in Creighton, Drake and Missouri State. The Braves will also face Arkansas State, Nebraska-Omaha, North Dakota State, Oral Roberts, SIU Edwardsville, South Dakota, Utah State and Western Illinois in BU's first action since finishing 15th at the Weibring Intercollegiate on Sept. 23.
The 54-hole tournament will feature two rounds of play Monday beginning with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start and will wrap up Tuesday with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. BradleyBraves.com will provide links to live scoring for all three rounds of the Bill Ross Intercollegiate.
Sophomore Seth Trolia (Mahomet, Ill./Seymour) is coming off the lowest individual round of the season for Bradley, closing out the Weibring Intercollegiate with a 72 and owns a 76.6 stroke average. Trolia has carded four of his five rounds this fall in the 70's.
Fellow sophomore Danny Masrin (Palatine, Ill./Jakarta International School) led the Braves at the Weibring Intercollegiate, firing rounds of 73 and 75 in the final two rounds to tie for 23rd in the field and is shooting 77.8 per round this season.
Junior Daniel Young (Metamora/Metamora) was BU's top finisher at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate in the fall of 2010. Young, who tied for 20th, shot scores of 75-73-77 (225) and help the Braves finish 10th in a 14-team field in the squad's last trip to the Kansas City, Mo., area.
Following the Bill Ross Intercollegiate, Bradley concludes its fall schedule Oct. 28-30 at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate in Kiawah Island, S.C.
